INGREDIENTS:
4 Slices of Rio Maior Bread 900g;
1 Requeijão from Seia;
1 Egg;
100ml Milk;
100g Butter;
100g Brown Sugar
Sliced Almonds for decoration as needed.
PREPARATION:
1. Preheat the oven to 180º for a few minutes;
2. Remove the crusts from the bread slices, and in a blender, crush them together with the butter. Pour the mixture into a tart dish and set aside;
3. In the blender, mix the bread crumbs, Requeijão, egg, butter, milk, and sugar until a cream is formed;
4. Pour it over the base, cover it with sliced almonds, sprinkle with sugar, and cover with a sheet of aluminum foil;
5. Bake for 20 minutes at 180ºor until it is cooked (perform the toothpick test).
6. Remove the aluminum foil until it is golden brown to your liking.
